Diesel Mechanic Jobs

Dollar General Fleet is hiring experienced Diesel Mechanics in your area. These positions ensure all trucks, trailers and yard tractors are in working order and are compliant to federal standards. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Diagnose and repair truck, trailer components such as doors, floors, side panels, electrical and air brake systems.
Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on tractor and trailer equipment including routine technical repairs and completing repair orders.
Perform maintenance repairs as required to maximize safety and reliability on all fleet vehicles including tractors, trailers, lift-gates, and any company-owned equipment.
Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues.
Perform DOT inspections and compliancy.

Fleet Mechanic I

Earn up to $25/hour*
Regular hours plus extra earning opportunity w/ overtime

Requirements:

At least one (1) year Diesel Mechanic experience, working on Class A trucks
Experience working with air brake, hydraulic and electrical systems
Experience with tire maintenance (repair, mounting, dismounting)
DOT inspection experience preferred

Fleet Mechanic II

Earn up to $32/hour*
Hire bonus up to $2,000 at select locations
Regular hours plus extra earning opportunity w/ overtime
Advancement opportunities to Fleet Managers

Requirements:

2+ years of Diesel Mechanic experience, working on Class A trucks
Experience working with air brake, hydraulic and electrical systems
Experience with tire maintenance (repair, mounting, dismounting)
DOT inspection experience preferred
Experience using trailer maintenance software preferred
